My adventures in eating all of the produce from my CSA (no matter how unusual it may be) and trying to eat as locally as possible.

CSA Week 9
I am a creature of habit. When my schedule gets thrown off, my whole day is a mess. It's kind of a problem. I stayed up too late last night (I got home at 10:30--remember how it's physically impossible for me to stay up past 10 PM). It was just all over from there.
I actually did my usual Saturday wake up with the sun, putter around the house, go back to sleep for a bit routine. Took a shower, went to the CSA pick up, but then when I got back I had to put everything away rather than taking my pictures for my post. I was meeting a good friend for brunch. While this is a highly enjoyable reason to disrupt my Saturday morning routine and I had a great time, when I don't do things in order, they just don't quite work out. This isn't actually a big deal (not like when I do my morning routine out of order and forget to wear deodorant), I just forgot to include the vegetable I'm most excited about in my photo. (You'll see when you scroll down).
This week's haul:
1 tiny cabbage
leeks
carrots
1 lb green beans
1 lb cucumbers
1 lb summer squash
lettuce
kale
3 lbs peaches
1/2 pint of red currants
6 eggs
and...
Tomatoes!
My question for this week is:
Fresh currants...what do we do with these?
